Providing the evidence base to reduce harmful AOD use in
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Welcome to the Indigenous pharmaceutical use web resource - for people working, studying or interested in addressing the use of pharmaceutical drugs among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We aim to provide quality information and resources to support the reduction of harms associated with the use of pharmaceutical drugs among Indigenous peoples.
The term pharmaceutical drugs refers to drugs such as oxycodone, codeine and benzodiazepines which are prescribed lawfully but are not used for the purposes for which they were prescribed.
